Colleen is stable and her temperture is down which is good news and the doctors are happy with her progress ,she will be slowly taken off life support today but this all depends on how she copes with the breathing alone ...this is very important that we dont stress the body as then the blood pressure can go up and this will stress the heart out which can lead to heart failure ......and it will take longer for her to heal .....
She is receiving the best treatment available thanks to all her friends and family who are supporting her trust fund .
This mornining my job was to phone medi clinic to find out how we are doing ....... they got to me first ...
I NEARLLY FELL OFF MY CHAIR ...
THEY NOW ESTIMATE TOTAL COST AT R500.000.00- IF ALL GOES WELL!!!!!
Our costs for one week in ICU are R90,000.00 this is only hospital bills NOT DOCTORS ...
The bad news is that we need R85,000.00 per week to keep COLLEEN IN ICU ...on life support
once off life support the cost will come down ...
We should have funds to keep colleen on life support for the next 4 days after that we will have too look at other avenues of medical treatment .
Please keep Colleen in your thoughts and prayers for a very speedy recovery
