Colleen has been home for a little while now, but is still confined to bed rest.
She is still experiencing discomfort and dizziness, but is well on the way to making a good recovery.
There is one last hurdle to cross and that is the replacement of bone that was removed initially from her cranium to relieve the pressure on the brain. She saw the Surgeon last Friday and he showed her photographs that were taken during the surgery and also told her that she was very close to death when he first saw her. The gravity of the situation has only now sunk in, and of course Colleen would like the same surgeon to operate on her again.
He can do this soon, but of course it will cost more than we have raised so far. We have approximately R10 000 left and the total needed will be
around R50 000. It is therefore imperative that we raise another R40 000.
Everyone has been very generous with their donations and organizing the Fund Raiser, but could we please ask if you could spare a little more this week, to help us reach this target.
Any contribution would be appreciated and should now be paid into the following new account, which has been opened solely for the purpose of settling the remaining medical bills. The Trust Account is closed and Johan is now paying the accounts.
